1. Nature of the Service
The website www.drfooters.com is a promotional showcase for products created by Dr. Footers di Alessandro Sacilotto.
No Online Transaction: This site does not process direct payments or automated e-commerce transactions.
Order Process: All purchase inquiries and orders are handled directly via WhatsApp or through private consultation. The information on the site constitutes an "invitation to offer" and not a binding public offer.
2. Intellectual Property & Copyright
Ownership: All designs (including but not limited to boots, caps, and belts), photographs, and texts are the exclusive property of Alessandro Sacilotto.
Restricted Use: Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of our designs, brand, or media is strictly prohibited and protected under Italian and International Copyright Law.
3. Product Descriptions & Artisanal Nature
Artisanal Authenticity: Our products are handcrafted using natural materials. Slight variations in color, texture, and finish are inherent to the artisanal process and are to be considered marks of authenticity and quality.
Availability: Displaying a product on the site does not guarantee its immediate availability. Lead times will be confirmed individually.
4. Sales, Payments, and Delivery (Ex Works)
Ex Works Agreement: All sales are strictly conducted on an Ex Works (EXW - Incoterms 2020) basis at our premises in Treviso, Italy. The sale is considered legally finalized and completed when the goods are made available at our workshop.
Collection & Transport: The customer is solely and exclusively responsible for organizing, managing, and contracting the transportation of the goods from our premises to the final destination.
Transfer of Risk: The risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the customer at the moment the items are made available for collection at our premises in Treviso.
5. International Orders, Customs, and Taxes
Importer of Record: For all orders, the customer acts as the "Importer of Record" and is responsible for compliance with all local laws and regulations.
Duties and Taxes: The customer is solely responsible for the payment of all import duties, local VAT, consumption taxes, or customs clearance fees required by the country of destination. Since the sale is finalized in Italy on an Ex Works basis, it does not constitute a "distance sale" under EU VAT regulations.
6. Warranty, Repairs, and Lifetime Refurbishing
Right of Withdrawal: For standard, non-customized items, you have the right to return the product within 14 days of receipt, provided it is in original, unused condition.
Custom/Made-to-Order: Products specifically manufactured or customized to your measurements or specifications are exempt from the standard right of withdrawal, except in cases of verified manufacturing defects.
Process: Any return or warranty claim must be initiated via our official WhatsApp support. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
We stand behind the superior quality of our artisanal footwear. Our commitment to your boots extends through three distinct levels of care:
Manufacturing Warranty: Dr. Footers guarantees that all products are free from manufacturing defects. In the event of a verified defect during the warranty period, we will repair the item at no cost. For such warranty repairs, the customer is responsible for shipping the item to our workshop in Treviso, while Dr. Footers will cover the return shipping costs once the repair is completed.
General Repairs & Maintenance: Outside of the warranty period or for damages caused by regular use, we remain available for professional repairs. For these services, a quote will be provided via WhatsApp, and the customer is responsible for shipping costs both ways.
Lifetime Free Refurbishing: To celebrate the longevity of our craft, we offer a Free Lifetime Refurbishing Service for all Dr. Footers boots. This service includes professional cleaning, leather conditioning, and aesthetic refreshment to keep your boots in optimal condition.
Included Service: Labor and conditioning materials for aesthetic refreshment are free. Any structural repairs or component replacements (e.g., laces, full resoling, construction repairing) will be quoted separately. However, minor structural fixes may be provided free of charge at our sole discretion if they are considered minimal.
Shipping: For this complimentary service, shipping costs (both ways) are the sole responsibility of the customer.
7. Limitation of Liability
Dr. Footers is not liable for technical issues of the website or for transportation-related damages occurring after the goods have been made available at our premises.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian Law. Any dispute related to the use of the site or purchases shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Treviso.
