Dr. Footers Horse Front leather is the front part, including the shoulders and legs, of raw horse skin. It is vegetable-tanned using only natural tannins extracted from various plants and trees. These tannins, present in varying concentrations, give vegetable-tanned leather its distinctive character: the grainy texture, small scratches, and nuances of color are their stamps of authenticity, making it instantly recognizable and truly unique.
Dr. Footers vegetable-tanned horsefront matures gracefully over time and with use. Unlike most materials, it genuinely improves with age, developing a unique patina with warm, rich hues that deepen and intensify with daily use and the passing of time.
